I am JJ Shaw

My name is JJ Shaw. I am Diné (a member of the Navajo Nation). By day, I work in Indian Country, and by night, I craft stories with indigenous peoples and communities in mind. I am currently represented by Laurie Dennison of Creative Media Agency, Inc. I am a fry bread enthusiast. I truly believe butter and honey on fry bread is the secret to happiness. Not to mention, well-timed carbs can get a person through anything, including the pre-submission journey. While I am in my pre-submission phase, I am building my social media presence. At heart, I’m an introvert with borrowed extrovert batteries, which means social media is overwhelming to me, but apparently part of the aspiring author starter pack.
